Servicing the mare #2

It didn’t hurt as much this time. Of course I don’t feel so great now, and am assiduously avoiding doing anything that looks like work, but it all went ok

I had a good chat with the sperm expert as he did the prep, and he pretty much confirmed everything I had read about our issues and said IVF/ICSI was a much better chance with sperm like ours.

And our sample wasn’t so good this time. I’m not sure what the final count was, but the motility was down to about 60%. Which is ok, but not as good as last time.

I don’t regret these two IUI cycles because, as everyone keeps telling me, “you only need one [sperm] to get there”.
It’s also been a good introduction to the drugs, injecting, and the ups and downs of the whole thing.

But right now, all I want to do is curl up on the couch, watch some old episodes of Dr Who, and read trashy magazines.

However, pretend to work I must. It’s not easy. Sitting upright is pretty uncomfortable, but I grit my teeth and hold my head high.
