I thought it was an appropriate day to start my infertility blog. CD1 to be precise. For those of you not au fait with such terms, CD1 refers to the first day of a woman’s period or cycle. Cycle Day One.
Today is CD1 for me – the day I am meant to commence my first cycle of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) using Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI) however thanks to a particularly nasty side effect from two weeks spent in Thailand, I’m looking at a course of antibiotics, rather than hormones.
But that’s cool. Another month spent waiting after 20 months trying is annoying, but not unbearable.
